Nielimishe scholarship project

The Nielimishe scholarship project is an initiative of Professor Barbara and Gunther Schmid, sponsor and founder of Child Development Fund- Germany. The scholarship program focuses on fostering knowledge and skills that lead to lasting positive effects on individuals and society.
Initiated in 2009, the Nielimishe scholarship project is designed to be a beacon of hope for bright, orphaned, and vulnerable children. The primary objective is to provide these individuals with comprehensive educational support, covering their journey from Form 1 to Form 4 and college/university. The program places a strong emphasis on mentorship, excellence, and career guidance. Since 2009 when the project was started 84 vulnerable girls and boys have been able to complete their secondary education successfully. Many of the supported children are now serving their communities as teachers, Accountants, nurses and Nutritionists. The focus on both secondary and post-secondary education reflects a holistic approach to nurturing the intellectual growth and future prospects of the beneficiaries
